An elaborately designed control station. Children line up to sit in the cockpit and off they go:

The child (ages 7-10) sees another planet on the control screen – through the eyes of a robot sent there. The child holds his hands in front of the screen and sends his movements by radio to an exploratory robot. (The child must move his hands over a table top in which a  special camera is embedded.)

The camera reads the movements and transmits them to the image. This allows the child to control the robot. We assume that the robot is on another planet. We tell the youngsters that the technology of displacement transmission makes it possible to become active there as well.

When the children have collected three stones, applause bursts out, followed by a short, animated sequence with information about the robot’s mission and the real Mars robot “Curiosity”.
